Hello everybody,

My suggestion is simple :
Many of us have trained for skills that we will never use or we thought they were something different.Especially when people are new to this game they lose a lot of months with wasted skill points.

How so....dead paths in eve show up faster than a few months. Mining career comes to mind real quick. I am an ex miner on one char. Mining sucked in intro ships, mining sucked when in intermediate ships on the way to exhumer, and mining sucked even in exhumers.

I have the ballz to cowboy up and say I messed up not stopping at stage 1 and 2 before I had exhumer then came to realize alt was better off running missions. I will also admit that sometimes I can wake up mining aspects to benefit me. Skills even unloved can be used in a pinch.

Or you have the case of ccp nerfing something. I usually have no sympathy here. You went FOTM, hope you enjoyed your OP funtimes. Not even a **** here as I have done FOTM trains as well and will admit that openly. I took my nerf lumps justt like you may have. I know I trained for dual neut o cane in its prime. I had my fun in it. Was not shocked to to see it nerfed. I moved on to other FOTM after. Who knows...one day ccp may make canes I win buttons again. At least I am set already if so.

No my friend i m not talking for nerfing skills or similar.I m talking for skills which many people lost like planetary interaction
etc in main toon which are wasted.

What skills are you referring to? I have to wonder if you're mentioning planetary interaction. Every skill there seems pretty useful to pretty much anyone just for passive income, except maybe advanced planetology 5.

This discussion is old and so ready to be buried. Do us all a favor and forum search rather than digging up this old, dead topic.

This will never happen, and shouldn't:

1.) You already benefited from the skills you've trained. Just because you are CHOOSING to not utilize those skills now, does not make them wasted or useless.

2.) Why should you be allowed to skip the training times when partaking in a new area of game play? Do you honestly think that because you spent 30m in mining-related skills that you should be allowed to instantly transform your character into a pvp toon? How can you possibly justify that ridiculous stance?

3.) It negates many of the advantages niche skilled players have.

4.) It undermines the skill training system.

5.) It undermines the character bazaar.

and on and on and on...

In short, you will not get this opportunity in EvE. If you want to change your EvE career, then invest the time, like EVERY OTHER CHARACTER DOES, to skill into it.

And if you really need to "test it" before you buy it, then train it on the test server and test it there.

Oh. This thread again.

Try using the search feature OP this idea has been done to death

Found some but no one suggests 2 points for 1 so it would be balanced.

No, people have suggested that as well, numerous times. Its still bad. Maybe if you got 0 SP back at all, i could support it.

Never forget.

I might support something like a constant SP drain on a skill that gives you a +3 attribute implant effect on the two related slots provided there is no implant there already--for the duration of time that the skill is being drained of SP at the same rate it would be training. But that's about as far as I'll go in favor of this.

After a lot of thought and what all you said I agree for NOT taking skill back. You make your choices which no one forces you.So you must live with your choices .Thank you for posting and making me understand.

I always thought "reverse Engineering" is used to disassemble existing modules or ships to get a BPC or even a BPO out of them.

I think it's needed to manufacture T3 Ships which, in theory and lorewise, is just that but... Meh, my way would've been way cooler.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.
