Forum search is broke and evegate messaging fails on copy/paste

The top search box doesn't search any more and the ()search tab doesn't seem to be as good at finding stuff

When I message on evegate, if I try to paste using keys or clicks it does a strange graphic thing and the words do not appear. If I try to copy from the text I am writing with the mouse it does the same thing (though ctrl+c did work). Main problem with this is communicating across a language barrier. I can't simply copy and translate and translate and paste.
