"This week in EVE" is a weekly overview of EVE Online related news and events and shows what is going on in EVE Online. The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events. The summary of the previous week 10/2014 can be found here. Available is also the overview 2014

    • CCP Eterne introduces the first Developer Spotlight. The Developer Spotlights feature each a CCP developer and supplies you with a lot of interesting background and personal information. This inauguration developer spotlight features CCP Punkturis, don't miss out on it!

  • Rubicon: 1.3 Balance Round Up - Forum discussion
    • CCP Rise presents in his latest blog an overview of the Rubicon 1.3 balancing. New ways to acquire Sisters of EVE ships, changes to the drone assist mechanic, tech-1 frigate and cruiser rebalance, hull repair drones and more is discussed in this blog.

  • U and I - Through a Scanner Lightly - Forum discussion
    • "Little Things" were introduced with Rubicon 1.3 which nicely improve the user experience: better handling of the directional scanner, word filter and highlighting in chat channels, additional information to the ship info window and more.   • Featured Fansite: Null-Sec.com
    • CCP Gargant presents in his 'Featured Fansite' a randomly chosen EVE Fansite. This time he features the site Null-Sec.com which offers you an online ship fitting and character skill development tool on their website ready to use. Null-Sec hosts also full 3D replays of the New Eden Open II (and previous tournaments) for you to play with. Check out Null-Sec.com!

  • New Eden Open II - Day 3 & New Eden Open II - Day 4
    • The playbacks from the second weekend of the New Eden Open II are available on YouTube for your convenience. Check out the videos, discuss the team strategies and listen to the CCP commentators analyzing the matches!

    • EVE Online: Rubicon 1.3 was successfully deployed on March 12th within the announced extended downtime. The following features and changes were introduced:
    + Ship Painting Pilot Program
    + Changes of the drone assist mechanic
    + Changes of the remote sensor dampener range
    + "Little Things" part 1
    + "Little Things" part 2
    + Graphic improvements
    + New ways to acquire Sisters of EVE Ships
    + Corporation member cap increase

  • API Changes On Sisi - Please Help Test

    • CCP will be at PAX East in Boston from April 11th to April 13th as guests of Oculus VR. The latest build of EVE: Valkyrie on the Oculus Rift can be played at booth #234.     As always, in CCP Phantom we can trust.

    CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

    Thank you for the weekly updates.

    CCP's sand box is EVE Online.  The sand is owned by CCP.  We pay them a monthly fee to throw the sand at each other.  That is all that is here, so move along. Nothing more to be seen.
