Yep and not wanting to take the topic too far off track, my post was more a bit of humor than anything else (I'm descended from 2 first fleet convicts, so have no problem with the history of our country. Even though they were both English, I still consider them Australian, just like most do).

You've got to be kidding me.
Seriously how miserable can one be while playing a game?

wow, test still exists?

And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit.

So, this thread has taken a turn where I feel obliged to start talking about dingos, Fosters, and crocodiles.

The game is designed to allow people to play it afk. SKill points, capturing faction warfare plexes, mining, industry, and auto pilot.

Some people want others to play the game how you see fit because they feel it's more fun that way. But they're not everyone, and they don't get to make those choices for others. CCP could, but they don't because they made EvE a certain way, a way that people get to choose how they want to play.

All that they could do is attempt to influence others. It may work, it may not. Either way, it exists and is sanctioned by CCP.

Show me a link where CCP stated a player may not be alt tabbed while mining. Mining while playing starcraft, league, banished, gw2, watching netflix. It's nice having the ability to log into EvE and make progress on your character while doing something else more enjoyable.

Also Op, New Order permits were never worth anything. They were a pure scam from day 1. Though their main scam is actually their donation drive to get free money off other people not involved.

Thats not a scam. People know exactly what they are buying shares for.

In all of my long life, I still haven't figured out what Vegemite is. I did manage to get me one of those hats, what are they called, drungo? Idk, the guy I bought it from and I barely spoke the same language enough to agree on a price(and we were both theoretically speaking English is the funny part), "drungo" might have been his name for all I know.

Goes great with my brown leather duster, though.

That's simple. In the old days there was no use for the yeast resulting from the breweries. It had to be carted off and discarded in landfill.

Someone found out that if you squeezed it really hard you could extract all the bits of the yeast like squeezing a bunch of worms.

That's vegemite and all Aussie kids grow up on it. Great stuff.

I do get a good laugh when these code people are referred to as content creators.

It's like calling the rich job creators.

Sure, if you're going to blanket label every miner in game, but I really doubt all the players who mine would bother to seek you out for insult.

I don't blanket label every miner in the game.

Just the ones whom I bump 30km away and they just sit there for half an hour until they tab back into the game. Those ones aren't "players who mine", because the word "player" implies that they are playing the game.

So yeah, those ones get a label. It's called "bot-aspirant".

So does a pure manufacturer not play the game?

I think we are getting Side tracked a bit. Manufacturing requires a fair bit of active gameplay. You have to set up a pos, buy and ship minerals, buy BPOs and most importantly, figure out whats profitable to manufacture. You can't automate most this and any bot that was set up to manufacture would fail horribly as industry requires complex decision making.

By contrast, a bot aspirant miners tries to automate his actions as much as he possibly can. There is no complex decision making, so players try to pay as little attention as possible to what they are doing.

I'm an Aussie, and I accept James' authority over highsec.

it's ok. Some people just NEED to follow somebody. You know: the world is complex and harsh. You NEED somebody to give you orders and be your leader.

By becoming stronger you will be able to choose your own way.

What planet do you live on? Because almost everybody on Earth has a leader. Nobody is completely above the law. At best, they can choose which group to follow.

This is generally a true statement, even if they begin growing a business before they are rich.

Not all the rich are job creators, but a high percentage of job creators are well off. There are also a lot of small business owners that aren't rich and who also create many jobs. That however doesn't take away from the role the rich play in creating employment opportunities through businesses.

ATTENTION CODE permit holding miners are now subject to bumps and ganks DO NOT buy permits.

Looks like someone has created a NEW New Order with the message that mining permits are worthless.

Your post makes the erroneous assumption that the permits were ever worth having.

on the Earth you have no choice, i agree

in Eve Online you have the choice. That's why i speak about NEED to be leaded and ordered.

Funny how you leave out PI set ups which can be set and left for days on end and only require a push to start and a push to collect.

So when will the bumping of PI bot aspirants start? Roll
