The ends justify the means I guess. Some people like being assholes and bullying other players, for them that's fun, although they see it as "consensual pvp" and think you'd have fun if you just tried it, much like ... hmm geting off track here.

Really pvp for just the hell of it is fun, does it get you anything? enjoyment.

Why build a pos and do manufacturing? fun right? to get isk? why get isk? to get ships to fight ...

If you have an issue with high sec war decks, let's focus on that and not pvp in general.
Always ... Never ... Forget to check your references.   Peace out Zulu! Hope you land well!

The only way to tell if your corp is any good is to have a war that you did not start.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

Thanks for the replys and here are the categories.

1. Trolls & Goons

2. PvP is fun
I said that this was totally fine my questions were what was it for apart from that. EVE online is a pvp game that has no point to the pvp apart from its own sake. EVE is supposed to be a giant closed system that functions as a single giant entity where everything affects everything else and the main motivation of the game has no purpose.

3. PvP is to get rid of what industrialists make. This is just a circular argument.

4. Large collidable object. I did read your earlier thread and you were on the money. raidable arrays would give small gang PvP a purpose. But again Nullsec is the only place i can see where pvp could have the potential to have an ultimate purpose. i cannot think of a single one in lowsec or highsec apart from pvp for its own sake (which is no bad thing)
I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

PvP was generally for the lulz. I was a pirate once back in 2004, the fights were great and the tears, they just don't compare to the meagre drops that people clamour over today.

Today though, it is just stale, generally it's gang a) finding larger gang b) and running. Or gang a) finds lone person c). And this will continue while Kill mails exist and people go crazy over their efficiency and use it as a measure of epeen. But stats are also the only way to measure progress so there really is no better way around it.

Personally I don't pvp for the stats, I do it for profit. Chances are if I've killed you, you have brought one of my products soon afterwards.

All of that is very true. But you have not killed me. i never die unless i want to and i mean dying just for the lols.

My thing is Ninja kills. being outnumbered by gankers/griefers/pvp corps. I have to be outnumbered or its a pointless endevour.

Nothing better than flying through 8 systems massesed with WTS hitting a target and being gone before anyone notices.

I have no interest in anything else (but thats just me.

PS the guy who said i should quit for posting this is just funny. Its a ways of spicing up the pvp as the percentage of pvpers is not all that high compared to those who dont.

PVP is its own reward. Its the thrill of the kill. Good fights. Dying gloriously in a ball of flames.

Whats the point in playing PVE and only PVE? You earn isk but what for? To simply increase your capacity to make isk? Wheres the fun in that. Yea killing NPCs is fun and all but when youve done that mission/plex for the 10th time the fun kinda wears off

PVP is ever changing, if it isnt youre doing something wrong...
