Amarr: The GOLDEN fleet, not the BROWN fleet

Seriously CCP. I don't think anyone, anywhere in EVE's entire playerbase ever looked at Amarr ships and Amarr stations and said, "You know, these ships and stations are too golden. They need more brown."

And no, this doesn't look to me like an artifact of lighting changes or the unintended result of a "first pass" on graphics improvements of some sort. The basic color of the Amarr ships and stations is being intentionally changed to brown. We didn't want this. We don't want this. We want them changed back. If anything, they should have been made more gold, not less.

It is all a matter of personal taste, as for me I love the Amarr ships as they now are.

Heh, something like that was what I wanted to post. Luckily I'm not alone in liking the new changes. The Amarr ships somehow look more real to me now and some of the T2-ships are miles better then before.

I have yet to see a brown Amarr ship.

I've seen tan, bone, cream, yellow, golden, bronze, copperish, red, black, blue and silver... but not a single brown.

On that note, it was said long ago that some of the color changes for various ships really wouldn't look like they were supposed to until the new lighting effect came into play.

Well now we are finally starting to see that come to pass.

Some of the ships especially now have a subtle depth of color and texture that was not noticeable before, particularly in Navy, Pirate faction, T2 and Amarr vessels as well to a degree (particularly on the Pilgrim).

Very, very nice.

You know... the security people in the amarr stations have told me that repeatedly. After they asked me to stop smearing feces on the walls. I tried to tell them it was not mine. I am just doing my version of 50 shades of brown.

I will never be satisfied until all amarr ships have the same paint job as the imperial issue apoc / geddon. Seriously , those ships are the most gorgeous thing in the game.

Havent you seen all that space dust crap floating around outside? Gold is a soft metal, and if you plate your ships with it, its going to get sandblasted pretty quickly and look brown!

The only way around that would be to have slaves constantly outside your hull polishing the ornamentation...and slaves aren't good armor plating.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?
