And that is far more illustrative than you might think, but probably not in service of the point you're trying to make.

Well said sir. It is always so difficult to try and explain exactly how religion not just plays a part, but is the penultimate reason behind why we engage in slavery.

if your religion is the penultimate reason for engaging in slavery, then sir, may i ask what the ultimate reason is?

i am truly afraid that i already know the answer...

Good work.

If you could confide to me where these liberated slaves are being deposited at, I could see to it that more slaves are there to meet your buy orders (once assured that they are going to a safe place).

I have many slaves under my care. But I haven't bought a single one. Each one has been rescued from a Pirate organization, specifically Sansha and Blood Raiders.

My goal it to educate and enlighten them and thus bringing them closer to God. Does that make me a bad person?

This may not make you a bad person, but, you should free them instead of keeping them as slaves. I keep finding abandoned to die people in cans, as soon as they are well enough to travel, they will also be freed and relocated.

I imagine that what the people you found were suffering at the hands of the Sansha and Blood Raiders was worse, you should make their lot in life better by freeing them, not keeping them in slavery.

It is my resonsibility as a Loyal Amarrian, and religious individual to ensure that they are enlightened and educated prior to being set upon a society that would want them to be hard working faithful citizens. To do less would make me just as bad as the people I rescued them from.

I feel that you might have misinterpered my use of the word Slave. They are slaves, but I do not make them work in fields, or industrial factories. They work in my education facility, where their job is to study and learn new skills, and the scriptures, so that they do not end up again where I found them.

I am against the policy of slavery. As an Amarrian, and CVA pilot, I speak occassionally on that topic, to the endless entertainment of friend and enemy alike.

However, I hate self-important story-telling anti-slaver bleeding hearts too.

As such, in "honour" of the OP's SOOOOOOOO big accomplishment of humanitarianism, I am going to go to the Amarr Slave Markets this evening, buy up as many slaves as my hull can accomodate as cargo, fly them back to nullsec, jet can them, and use those Jet Cans as target practice for my nice shiny new Oracle. The guns, they must be sighted in, after all.

Had people been humble about their deeds, perhaps these many slaves would have lived on, and many might have been rescued our bought out of slavery.

Now, they will die.

So you saved 9000. /golfclap for you

Your hubris and pride and boastfulness in turn will have killed 100,000.

Nice work.

I would suggest, if you TRULY care about slaves so much, to stop telling everyone in such colorful and florid prose, how special and humanitarian and downright wonderful you are, and just go out and do it.

Otherwsie, another 100,000 may have to die.

You wouldn;t want that, would you?Blink
