Lighting effects clip through models

This has always been an issue for me, no matter what type of Mac I play on. I just assumed it was normal. Then I happened to undock in Windows!

These glow effects are supposed to go over the TOP of models, not clip through them. Can I safely assume most everyone else has this problem? Could we possibly get a fix? It seriously looks so nice on Windows.

Yeah, I get it too on the Mac client. I notice it most with the engine thrusters all clipping the ship. 😔
