Why is the patch downloading like dial-up??

Seriously, 60 mb into a 1.29 gb file after an hour?
Is there a problem I didn't hear about?

My connection - it's not, I checked.
A lot of people are downloading - Still? 1 mb per minute?

I didn't have any issues downloading it this morning. I usually get around 3mb per second download and that was no different here.

I've been downloading slowly from CCP for months now. Today's patch went at a relatively brisk 300KB/s but I have seen it a bit lower and higher for the past 3 months.

On a 6MB/s connection.

50 MBit connection here. Doing a new install now, after launcher download failed. Currently downloading at 1 MB/s.

Sitting at 15% and growing at break neck speed of dial up as well. Been downloading for 1 hr 30 mins so far.

mine has been stuck at 144.77 MB for 20 minutes. been downloading for an hour and a half so far. this on 150mb/s fios.

This might help. If you are experiencing a slow download go into the laucher settings and change the number of download threads to 10 and save. Relaunch

Hope that helps increase your download speed.

Speed test even with the update gave me 2.5MB/Sec

Unfortunately, I am using broadband >3 gps after testing my speed. No trouble Dling other items on the net. Does not affect my DL speed of eve either.

I suspect this may be either download congestion or a bad routing, eitherway its taken me at least 2 hours now to go from 25-30% I know it isn't my connection because I paused the eve dl and downloaded a 2gig game and installed in a fraction of the time.

I've been having this same issue. Changing download threads to 10 does not actually fix anything. Also, the manual download (exe + payload 1 and payload 2) all are downloading from the EVE servers at 30~40 KB/sec each. This would take 22 hours for each payload, and sounds about the same speed that the launcher is going. Since downloading directly from a web server (as with the manual download), there is no middleware to get in the way.... this is 100 % CCP's ****** infrastructure at work or something screwy on their end with networking. Either way, my download speeds otherwise are 10MB/s

Try resetting your cable modem/router perhaps? I'm at 50% since posting the first time.

Well I did well downloading from CCP download site here in Aussie land while the rest of you had a slowww download.

Remember that when you have lost of people downloading the patch all at once of course you are going to be slow.

Better in getting in early.

lol this is the response from someone who does not understand networking in the slightest. It's about as bad as asking "clear your cache" as a go to for **** you don't know how to fix.

All connections to non EVE related services are fine, as can be represented by steam downloads, and various FTP downloads I've had going. This is a problem with CCP's infrastructure, or the client.

Try the file I uploaded to my google drive. After its downloaded you can import it through the launcher,
