I've seen a number of exploration fits for a Pilgrim, but not mission/combat site fits, so I'm wondering what a mission/combat fit would look like, and what one could reasonably run with it. Level III missions? Also, what level of DED complexes can a Pilgrim handle? Would you fit turrets/missles in the high slots, or stick with neuts?

why would you want to run missions with a covert recon.................................................................................................

It has terrible dps and a tank that's all over the place, just doesn't make sense to use one.

Covert recons in general wouldn't perform very well in mission/ded site pve. The pilgrim in particular wouldn't be a very good choice considering that neuts are not very effective in pve. (Read as a profound understatement)

A T1 vex would do the job better at a fraction of the cost.

If one were bound and determined to have a cruiser sized, cloaky, drone/laser ship to run missions you could try a strat.

I use it because I do a lot of exploring in low sec, so I'm often roaming around, and I thought it would be nice to be able to stop and run the occasional mission. Thanks for the feedback. Also, I'm hesitant to risk a 300m ISK ship (Stratios) in low sec. The Pilgrim costs half what a Stratios does.

Seriously like one decent drop or a couple plexes with bad drops and you've made up the difference. In exchange you're getting twice as much ship. So unless you're got a really high lossrate...

Pilgrim was actually a great Low-Sec explorer pre-2012, but the game has changed and it has lost a lot of its attraction. It was once a great all-in-one option and was able to complete all high-sec content, low -sec mags/radars and combat ladars. Good old times when high sec islands were actually empty. :) Today you need a ship bonused towards hacking and the competition is a lot fiercer on top of that.

That said, there was not one fit, but many different ones, optimised for the task at hand. I'll need at least a region from you to find something in my EFT.

Fun fact: I have a (notsolo) fit that does 567DPS. It was great for bombing through Outpost anoms, while everybody else in local was at each others throat over that juicy 6/10. I still love my Pilgrims.

Yes, it's esily my favorite ship in the game, both for the hull's appearance and the concept. Right now I've broken down and I'm using a Stratios, but I may go back to it somday; optimization min/max be damned.

lasers with tech 1 crystals + cloaky cloaky + drones makes a decent 0.0 ninja ratter with unlimited ammo (assuming your drones don't go pop).

That awkward moment at the Gentlemen's Club when you see your sister on the stage....and you're not sure where to put the money....

Don't use it for missions. It lacks a good tank, it lacks damage projection and it lacks any sort of dps (anyone giving you 500 dps PVE fits is giving you lol fits).
