Which of the interceptors is the fastest at aligning of a gate

this is just for the base Hull

and are there any that i should stay away from as they can be caught by a fast locking ship

Ares has the lowest base align time, at 2.9 sec- with the most low slots (4). So hypathetically- that would be your choice. However, given enough lock speed- yes you could be caught off a gate warping, if the enemy pilot was on the ball. At the end of the day, all of the intys align in just about the same amount of time (You are splitting hairs). What really makes the difference in the intys- is their slot layout. That is going to determine, the best one for a 'travel fit'.
