Kindle is a great platform for writers. I don't think it's much to publish your material on there, and would be an awesome way for people to read Eve stories when not close to a computer or internet. Of course, people could copy/paste/print your stories out, but why not make a few $$ with your writing? If nothing else, you could price it so it'll cover the cost of publishing, if making money isn't an interest to you.

I've 2 Eve Novels on my Kindle I'm reading. But those are the ones that have been out for some time and are now on Kindle. Some of you are VERY GOOD at what you do! I think you'd have a good lot of people that aren't Eve players that would buy your books as well. There is a lot of sci-fi enthusiasts that would love to read these stories....

Something to consider folks!

Free works might be fine but legally I don't think anyone could profit from the intellectual property owned by CCP.

If that happens to be the case, then indeed, free works would be fine.

Fanfic is technically not exactly legal (at least in the states), as you're infringing on the copy right of the original creator (in this case CCP). When there is no $$ involved, the worst that can really happen is a cease and desist order and you have to pull down whatever you have published. As soon as $$ becomes involved, you open up a whole new can of worms.

For people to publish things on kindle, or any other source in which money could be made, CCP would have to come out and give permission for that to happen either individually or as a whole. And I'll use my panties as bagpipes if that ever happened. Shocked

No, no... I get that part. If put up on Kindle, money COLD be made, and since it won't be CCP, who created this whole Eve thing to start with, I can see a law suit happening over such a thing.
