Nice tool, thanks for your efforts Cerlestes!
Quick question: are the current prices of the ore variants in ISK/m³ shown somewhere? I always feel the need to double check if refining is really worth it.

Refined ore will always beat unrefined ore when selling for iskies. The only possible exception may be if you are selling unrefined Kernite at a storyline agents station for those who do lvl 4 storyline missions.

TBH, his page has the bets to become the #1 industry database, just need gas and PI charts to make it complete

Any rationale for still keeping Ouselleart in the graph listings ? Seems to be skewing the averages lately.

Just my 2 cents worth. Smile

Hi guys,

I use ore celestes all the time, and I think it is wonderful.

Creating now my own spreadsheets I came across something I do not understand:

According to the tutorial page of celestes 1 batch of regular Gneiss should be:

400 Gneiss (1 batch) x 5m³ = 2.000m³ x 0.069 = 138 Zydrine.

But my own calculations showed something different: 171 Zydrine
Because I was in doubt I took a batch and went to the nearest outpost: http://goo.gl/x3oT3q

one batch: 133 + 38 = 171

Is there something wrong with my calculations or is there a slight slip in the table of ore celestes?

I would appreciate to get help to get my calculations right.

Thanks in advance!

Sully

Wow... so in short terms: Never trust official CCP sites to tell you the truth about ore composition.
I've just tried it and verified with another source and you're right. Gneiss contains 171 Zydrine per batch or 0.086 Zydrine per m3 instead of the 0.069 displayed on my site. I've immediately changed it now, thanks for letting me know!

Just so you see how I got this number... back in 2010 when I'd built the current version of the site, I took all refining information from the EVE Wiki, like this article about Gneiss: https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Gneiss
As you can see, it shows 137 Zydrine instead of 171 Zydrine.

With the new value of 0.086 Zydrine per m3 your calculation is correct again, rounding errors aside:
400 Gneiss (1 batch) x 5m³ = 2.000m³ x 0.086 = 172 Zydrine.

I'm going to recheck every ore again with different sources, just to make sure.

Thanks again!
cerlestes

PS: Okay, I've found another wrong value in the official wiki. Jaspet shows as yielding 259 Pyerite, but instead yields 437 Pyerite. Changed that also and will update the Wiki, if possible.

You're welcome.

I use your homepage all the time. It helps a lot. I think all miners know your homepage.

Glad that we could help. 'We' because I am still creating some nice google spreadsheets and I asked a corpmember to double check my formulas. His maths was correct but we got different results. So we narrowed it down and double checked again with refining a batch ourselves.

Awesome tool, been using it for a long time.

Would it be possible to save the secondary column sort ? I know it saves the primary sort, but not the secondary.

I.e you sort by "Found In", then by "ISK" (by holding shift), so it groups by security then by asc/desc ISK value ?

First i wanted to thank you for such an awesome tool.
I just started with EvE and the tool alone gives so much information in one place. <3 :*

but i got one Question:
How can i get sound into the alarm?
Everytime when the alarm tiggers the page only blinkes red.

I don't believe the low/null sec ores have been updated since the trit values were increased in some ores....

The changes from Odyssey have been implemented right on patch day, so everything is up to date.

The timer widget is something I've never really looked into improving. It originally had sounds, but due to some problems I've replaced them with the red blinking. I'll think about adding an option for sound in the upcoming version, thank you.

Great tool, is it possible to have XML export added, so that people can import the prices straight into excel or Google docs, and use them for more purposes than you could possibly cover alone

I'm using this API myself: http://eve-central.com/home/develop.html
You should be able to use it with mentioned programs/websites as well.
