Some months ago i ran into this game, called Starmade which is essentially Minecraft in space and have been playing it mostly on Australian servers which seem very underpopulated and the USA one is too laggy for me Sad

Overall I am impressed I wish it was single servers but understanding some limitations of twitch gaming on a large scale in a MMO setting. For those that don't understand watch the somewhat bluntly named but informative Why MMO combat sucks! on youtube.

Considering that the majority of structures are player generated, faction bases, stations and ships it does have a different feel, I really enjoyed running into abandoned faction bases, stations and ships in Starmade in space. Its not just running into something in space its running into something that is derelict in space, faction bases with holes in its structure from other players salvaging it, same with stations and ships floating in space with visibly damaged hulls, giving a really really decaying civilization feel to it as if you have flown into some sort of an archaeological site and are really exploring.
