The guy does look a little funky in there but that is not a US Coast Guard boat following the destroyer.

I believe what we saw was this.

The question you should be asking is why is our CIC sending a lone destroyer into the stomping grounds of the Black Sea Fleet If I was on that crew, I'd like to have some company with me.

May I have your stuff?

No, it's a real destroyer. However, Obama isn't going to do anything about Russia. Nor should he. It's none of our business what Russia and Ukraine is doing. I firmly believe that we should only really worry when Russian boots are landing on the West Coast. Being I don't think that will happen, at least not for the time being, I'm not too worried. What CNN is doing is fear mongering, like ALL news outlets tend to do these days.

We can't afford a big war, we're not strong enough for that. It takes a strong economy to fight such and we severely lack that. The government wants to downsize the military we have. We're not going to do that AND prepare for war with a major power. No way. This is all just propaganda, plain and simple. That ship is most likely heading for the intended purpose of joint training, nothing more.

We're more likely to collapse in the coming years. We'll have plenty to fear and be worried about then.

Nonsense.

Putin is obviously willing to suppress ethnic group's wishes that are outside Russian territory. Do you realize how many of these ethnic enclaves with Russian citizens there are between Ukraine and Eastern Europe ? Hundreds of them. Hundreds. And they are closer to the EU and want to be under the EU.

What's to stop him from seizing those ??? Do you think he will stop, at that point, at Yugoslavia ??

I don't think so.

Why is it still the business of the US though? I understand it's a stress on the EU, but haven't we spent enough time fighting wars? We've so many problems in our own country, like the many deep, deep divisions we have, that there's no way we should be running off to another war. We've severe racial division, we've political division (meaning you're extreme one thing or extreme the other.... No middle of the road for us), and certainly no live and let live like there used to be. Even our economy wouldn't support a large war. That's on the fritz too.

Has CNN ever been reliable? No..

US is steam boating in a over taxed rust bucket cause RUS won't shoot it by accident and US can't afford another oops.
