Rubicon 1.2.7 under Wine - black screen after character selection

G'day all. Since updating to Rubicon 1.2.7 I have been unable to get past the character selection screen. After choosing a character:

  1. it starts loading as per usual
  2. the screen turns black with the in-game cursor
  3. the mail popup shows in the top-left
  4. the screen remains black, and the game does not the station environment or neocom


As an aside, if I hit ESC, the in-game menu opens and the game version number displays in the top-left of the screen. Selecting "Quit" from the menu has no effect. Wine logs do not show anything abnormal.

Is anybody else running Wine and experiencing issues since yesterday's patch?

ElementaryOS Luna x64
WIne 1.7.13
NVIDIA 331.20
