The wardec surrender offer, it says:

"Corp A offers to surrender for X isk".

Previously, as far as I remember, it was the option for corp B to pay X isk and get out of the war.

But the wording in the mail states:

A has offered to surrender to B, offering X ISK. If accepted, the war will end in 24 hours and B will be unable to declare war on you for the next 2 weeks.

Probably obvious to everyone, but was the option for a ransom removed at some point? Didn't it used to be "Pay X isk and war is dropped" guarantee? So only the decced corp can offer to pay to get out?

the previous wardec system had no built in ransom. You had to payoff the wardec and trust they would end it. Which honestly wasn't all that unusual and i would even go so far as to say most would respect it, happy for the payoff. But now there's a formalized system.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

The old surrender required ceo's to meet.

It was changed to the "surrender offer" thing, but as far as I remember, it was sending an offer "for X isk, the war is over".

Now it seems to be "we offer X isk, and will surrender".

Did it change or did I complete misunderstand the "surrender" offer?

It seems as though the way it currently works is.

Private convo after 7 months of indian burns of all ships sizes and class.

Defender: Hey we wanna surrender.

Aggressor: Click the button and add 250 quantillion isk offer and we will agree

Defender: Ok

Defender then switches to captains quarters (to make it semi formal), Presses the surrender button. Adds the quantillions. Accepts.

Aggressor then switches to CQ, not to be shown up by a defender, And graciously accepts the surrender offer.

Before both part ways, and without telling one another, they look in the mirror to be sure all hair is in place and chest is still "flexin".

The End

Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.

So it did change from being a "ransom offer" to be something you "offer to surrender".

Ie. the isk put into the box is the amount of isk you will PAY and then initiate a surrender?
I could swear it worked the other way around some time ago..
