Please do your research before complaining about something. Its usually simple to work out what reaction is most likely taking place on a moon.

99% of reactions either use some sort of material on the moon or import it from another tower in the same system; difficulty and risk increase exponentially when you have to jump a gate.

This means you can launch your own moon probe to see what is on the moon, and survey the other towers in system to see if theyre owned by the same corp. From there it takes only a very basic knowledge of how moon goo works to determine what they're mining.

Sorry for the late response, but I meant anchoring 'Hybrid' siphons at POS's in WormHole space, that have no relation to the moon (not that moon-goo can be extracted in WH space anyway)
Save from seeing that a polymer reaction array is online, I have no way of telling what is being processed (this is fair, I admit) but I can also not tell if anything is being processed at all, and not just that the polymer reaction array is just online.

That plus the time restrictions inherent to WH space; there is a lot more risk involved in hybrid siphons, and I am a lot less likely to see any return in investment, hence my previous post about scooping siphons, if just the hybrid version.

My second suggestion would be instead of being killed allow it to go reinforced for a shot period of time and send notification to owner. Reinforced mode would lock acces to it to everyone but the owner. Then the person that placed the siphon has an opportunity to come collect his **** if he wants to. Of course people may be waiting for him Smile

A traditional reinforce mode wouldn't really suit the siphons, IMO. However, a new kind of reinforce might be cool:

- After being reduced to, say, 10% hull, they enter a reinforce mode for a couple of hours. A notification is sent to the owner.
- After this reinforce ends, they automatically explode unless the owner scoops them.
- During this reinforce they are scoopable by the owner (they are not scoopable otherwise). The inventory stays accessible to everyone, but the unit won't siphon any new goo.
- If the owner scoops it up during this reinforce, they can't place it back in space until the hull (and armor?) has been repaired fully. This means they have to take a trip back to station and repair it there. Alternatively, to not discriminate on any true guerrilla siphoners, the unit could be placed in space and repaired using remote hull reppers, but it wouldn't siphon anything until the hull is 100% again.
