Why cant Exhumers fit gas harvesters? You would think they should but why not. +1 if you think they should.

Because CCP gave us this amazing little ship called a Venture.

It's capable of mining gas faster than a 5 harvester BS, it holds 5k m3 of gas, when overheated it can reach close to 4k a second, natural +2 warp stabs. It's amazingly superior to every pre-venture method of gas harvesting.

And if CCP even thinks of adding gas harvesting to the barges/exhumers, they are also going to think of removing the gas harvesting bonuses from ventures. And the barges are going to be much less useful than the venture just about everywhere that people mine gas in large volume: WH's and specific nullsec regions. I'd never use them in a WH, or in nullsec if I need to travel a long distance to reach the ladar site.
