So game of thrones will be airing in about a month, and I don't have access to HBO! Got into the show after it actually started airing, so I watched the first 3 seasons on DVD, but now season 4 will be hitting soon and I certainly don't want to wait until the dvd set is available for that early next year. So..... who wants to let me come by once a week and mooch off their HBO? ;)

Mizhir?!?! Are you following me around? Gee, I post on your One Man Crew forums a few times and I just can't get rid of you! =P

And I'm talking with my brother on gmail as we speak discussing how to "yarr" it. Of course that would deprive me the enjoyment of watching other people react to it. I've read all the books, so I know what happens. =D

If I only knew of a place where it was ez to get tv . It would be awesome.

I'm lucky enough to have HBO on demand due to the cable companies mistake.

Grrr.

I can't wait for it to start. it's my favorite series in a long time.

I am very excite!

I read all the books after I had seen the first season. couldn't stop myself and I am glad I didn't. lol as wonderful as the show is the book are so much more rich and really bring that world to life.

Definitely agree. You get more perspective on the situations in the books. You get to know exactly what the characters are thinking. Also, the last half of book 3 (the part season 4 is based on) was arguably the best part of the series so far. So many incredible things happen that I never saw coming. It's going to be great watching how they interpret it for the TV series.

Indeed. I was a bit dissappointed when I realized that S3 only covers a part of book 3.

Can't wait to see how people react on the stuff in S4 :)

In the defense of that one stark, when you have 3 dragons towering over you, you don't have much choice, esp after other kingdoms have fallen, and the North has less population then the other regions.

But the North Remembers Ser Davros... (such a good line)

I am lucky that HBO Go doesn't care that the person who has the account lives in another state than the person who uses the account to watch Game of Thrones....

I think this is the first season I'm not excited about. Will they give _____ a shot at the throne? Will they just randomly kill _____? Knowing what's happened in books 4+ it makes this feeling even worse /:

How can you not be excited about it? the last half of book 3 was the hardest to put down! Even when I was at home I found myself reading it instead of playing video games. Now THAT is the sign of a good book!

Pirate

There's a site that is pretty enough to make you believe it's not bad. So much so that I'm not sure if it is bad?

It begins with a C and rhymes with Pouch Tuner dot EU. Episodes are uploaded within an hour or two.

Well, if you have not done so already, go and buy the DVD. Unlike EA and similar, it is not only definitely worth it but also HBO deserves to be supported financially for their awesome work.

Also, there are some official trailers out for Season 4 (they do contain a few spoilers if you know where to look, though).

Dude, after the Red Wedding (not really a spoiler, if you have no idea what I am talking about you have been living under a rock or not paying attention to game of thrones so prolly won't read this anyway) book 3 was a roller coaster, the next event from book three will have the best reactions ever, its going to be EPIC! And all I have to say is .. the red viper.. hell yes!

I've been pretty much an SF geek since I read "Ringworld" at age 10 in 1975. It's not that I didn't like Fantasy, I think it's lack of science and other things just didn't appeal as much to me outside of Tolkien.

And I read George RR Martin way back then when he was pretty much exclusively Sci-Fi. "Sandkings" in Omni Magazine and all that. The guy was swimming in Hugo and Nebula Awards. Chatted with him twice at conventions when I was a teenager.

I even went to the awful movie version of his short story "Nightflyers". Ugh.

"Sandkings" was re-worked into an actually good episode of "The Outer Limits".

But, I indeed lost interest when he started to go whole hog Fantasy...and we parted ways Lol

Anyway, I was shocked, shocked when HBO announced the series. For tons of reasons of course (fantasy on a scale never before on TV, or film really outside of Jackson's films). So I gave it a go.

It's just seriously the best TV show since the earlier seasons of BSG, and I'm just being patient and buying the Blu Rays as they come out. That year is a hard wait though.

I tried to purchase HBOGo from HBO (where you can stream their shows), but they said I had to go through my cable company. My cable company wouldn't sell me HBOgo, but insisted I had to pick up HBO as an add-on package to their mid-tier cable package. The end result, if I wanted HBOgo, I had to buy a $60 cable package, then pay $15 dollars for the HBO add on, plus taxes.

With such craptastic business policies, they pretty much encourage yarring!
