Null Production/Manufacturing Desireability

The problem is not with mining, nor production. The problem is in the step in between these...refining.

No-one seems to want to talk about this. Perfect instant refining and recycling is what enables a trade hub like Jita and it created a mono-culture in the industrial landscape with very few localized industry and even less markets.

Limit the capacity to refine and recycle per unit of time (like as is with research slots) and you will see industry and markets form elsewhere. Right now you can instant perfect refine unlimited amounts in high sec and then compress them for shipping out to null. If the refining capacity is limited in high sec, but not so much in outposts and POS, you create a very high incentive to have more localized industry in null and outside NPC stations.

The sick part of it all is that for years everyone, including CCP, has known the current refining in a POS is a joke and makes no sense, economic or otherwise. Still noting has ever been done about it. As if CCP deliberately want to prevent any form of mature industry developing in the EVE "economy". This despite hundreds of forum threads and many thousands of posts on the subject.

At this point I do not believe CCP has even the slightest interest in the industry aspect of the game, making this discussion rather pointless too.

I am serious!
