Elections date / rules

I tried to find info about these and failed.
So when are the elections, and what are the rules (like what is the voting system)? Where can I find this info?

(i thought i already asked this somewhere but not finding it, maybe forum ate the post)

- 21st of February: announcing the CSM8 elections and the updated rules
- 12th – 20th of March: candidacy application period
- 22nd – 29th of March: Pre-Election
- 3rd – 17th of April: Announcement of final ballot and Election
- 27th of April: Election result announcement

I don't recall seeing a date for this years Fanfest but I think it's supposed to be a bit later this year as last year was brought forward slightly for the 10 year anniversary IIRC.

I'd hazard a guess that we should be seeing a dev blog soon, assuming that the process will be the same as last year, although there is no guarantee of that.

1st-3rd May for Fanfest so I'd expect the announcement to be on the 3rd.

CCP Dolan has confirmed (on twitter) that it's the same system as last year.

There will be a dev blog pretty soon regarding all the rules and announcing candidate applications. We will still be using STV for the main election.

Ahhh so that's how it works, thanks all.
ps. I wanted to know mainly because it will be a LOT of work to read about all candidates and compile a priority list... :) so we will have some notice.
