I am not sure this is a good solution but it could be a solution.

A new account mode, where you set the account to "Long Term Training", which means you can set an extended skill queue and maybe send and revive eve mail, via Eve Gate, but that is about it. Maybe you pay a reduced subscription fee and maybe a limit of 12 mouths training that you have to pay upfront.

As I said not sure if it is a good solution but it could be an option, I realise people could use this to train accounts at a reduced cost but they would be unusable till they are converted back to a regular account and a full subscription paid, but CCP still get some money and those who need the feature get some skills to look forward to when they get back to Eve.

This feature could in theory be given to everyone fairly with no need to give any reasons for it.

Something that both incentives people not to log in and gives them a cost/account advantage over people actively playing the game is bad from several angles. Reduced cost for people not to play the game will never be a part of CCP's plans.

As a note to my original idea: Turning this mode on/off would be a rather simple affair through Account Management. You're not locked into it for a month or whatever once it starts. Turning it off would be as simple and quick as turning it on. You could turn it on before you go on vacation, find a wifi hotspot in the middle of nowhere where you didn't expect it, turn it off (After stripping all skills past the 24 hour mark out of the que), log on, chat, play, whatever, then turn it back on again without issues.

Second there was no intention to include any ability to inject skills or anything like that from outside the game. You would still have to manually log in, buy the skillbook, and inject it before you could train it, so training alts from day one still requires a certain degree of management to get all the skills injected once prereqs are done, while also preventing you from actively using any of the chars on that account.

I'm 100% FOR extended skill queues. I don't think it should be limited to any one group over another.
