It doesn't.

PLEX is one of the best aspects of the game. It gets ccp more revenue than they would get with just subs (becauseGTCs cost more than the equvilent amount of subbed game time).

It lets pvp players (who otherwise would not be here because they don't like pve at all) play the game AND contriute to the overall game by creating a (plex) market of PVE players.

It also lets cash strapped players who have a lot of time and don't mind doing PVE play the game that otherwise they would not play because they are cash strapped.

These people playing EVE that might not otherwise be here were it not for plex create boatloads of content for everyone.

People..... grow the **** up please. If you don't like how somehow else chooses to play the game, deal with it. No one cares to hear your rant about how you're jealous that some players can spend money to get ISK.

ISK is infinite, $$ is not.


Your life time is also finite. So ISK is most definitely finite.

And for what it's worth, the Making ISK guide lists PLEX as a ISK-making mechanism first for a very good reason.

In a vain attempt to get this thread back on tract I'd like to say the Revelation does work for doing this method. Max skills and 4 faction heat sinks squeezes 11k DPS.

What I don't understand is why it should be anyone's business how another person pays for their game? - As long as they stay within the "rules" set up by CCP.

And when it comes to tradeable PLEX and GTCs, what is wrong with: more options = better?

But don't you think PVE could do with some improvement if a large percentage of players don't like it? That way there might be less need to buy PLEX if players are happy with the ISK made from PVE..

That is presupposing that people don't do pve because it's bad. I don't think that's true, many people don't willingly do pve because they prefer to match themselves up against other players, not AI bots. For these people, not amount of changing pve is going to matter to them, they are still not going to pve if they can avoid it.

Sure, EVE's pve could be better and I'm a PVE player, but that has nothing to do with the issues being discussed about PLEX.

I buy a GTC for $35 bucks, trade for 1.2 Billion. And I make $35 bucks in less than an hour...

If you're a scrub? If you're jelly? Or maybe some of us just don't have the time to sit in mind-numbingly repetitive PVE situations to get our next ship/s and actually have the money and want to jump on, purchase and pew during the short time we have in game.

It doesn't defeat the purpose of the game at all.
