You need to shoot the triggers last if you intend single repping a blockade (presuming you aren't deliberately shooting triggers first from a marauder). also any turret or droneboat user should always snipe elite frigates at range before they get close, so that you can warp out safely if your buffer starts to burn down too much.

You also need to shut sentry drones off if you are damped or jammed and a mouse over of the interface suggests they are shooting the trigger.

The trigger in blockades is usually the most valuable battleship, or a battleship that spawned away from the other battleships.

IMO double repping will not help if you let yourself get scrammed and shoot triggers until the dps is ovewhelming (ie blockade can be done with a myrmidon or a prophecy single repping with a medium repper if you learn the triggers). I also don't need a prop mod for blockades. As long as you have reasonable reach, there is no need to move.

I would advice against doing L4's in BC's.

While you can do them in BC's it is not very worthwhile undertaking in my opinion and you have to cherry-pick your missions. If the best ship available for me would be BC I would blitz L3's instead which should grant you about same income per hour or slightly better (depending on how good you are and how you fit) than doing L4's in solo BC.

I have used the below in L4s to great effect. It is cap stable. I burn off, kill the frigates first, then set your keep at range to 100km, and snipe from distance. Make sure you do not take missions against missile using NPC rats. You won't blitz missions with this, but you will run them about as fast a new player flying a BS.

Yes, you can do L4's with a BC but you need reasonable skills and (what some of the vets often forget) some experience. If you shoot the triggers too soon or make other piloting mistakes you will die.


Hmm...all I use is an Armaggedon for my L4's and it does just fine.

Here's the deal though.

You NEED sentry drones, they are NOT optional.

MJD + Sentry + Overtank if you're new at it.

Even then, watch your triggers and don't be afraid to skip missions you're not sure on.

i think it was already covered but i will say it either way.

First with blitzing l3 u can probably make better money when u r only able to fly a bc.
2nd if u want to run l4 with a smaller ship i have used the ishtar in l4 to great advantage. The tornado was a fun ship to fly with an mwd and arties in l4's too but that i only did out of boredom.

And somebody above said something about the geddon, it is useable but i would probably either aim for the navy geddon or apoc. But thats me who doesnt like to ignore a boni Roll
