As of 10:30 UTC, Tranquility is currently undergoing a DDoS attack that has knocked players offline and is preventing them from reconnecting to the server. We are currently investigating the attack and implementing countermeasures. We apologize for the inconvenience this may be causing players and hope to have functionality restored as soon as possible.

Let's set up a fleet to attack those DDoSers. We need Ewar and alot of logi's!

I have the feeling the forum is also slower then normal. (DDoS using the bandwith?)

how about running out of time for a cosmos or storyline missions losing alot of faction standings?

It's standard procedure to reimburse things lost during DDoS's and other confirmed server problems.

You'll have to file a ticket. I'm unsure on the exact policy regarding this, but we tend to show leeway in these cases.

Ahhh. thank you for the info. Please disregard the thread I created about this. I did not see the threads about this until after posting. Probably because of said issue maybe.

I had a feeling this is what was happening. I find it weird that EVE has been having this problem. Well, I dont at the same time. It doesn't surprise me that a group of computer savy people could get butt hurt in eve lol. Although a DDOS is really easy to do so "savy" might be a little to ego stroking on there part.

Hopefully some gifted programmer finds a way to negate massive ping requests from a command prompt from several sources and this will be a thing of the past before long.

Thankfully the clients that I had open at the time where aggro free and salvaging on a gate in mission space when this happened. I can feel for anyone that lost anything. But now that CCP has reaffirmed this issue, Im sure things wil be taken care of. they are pretty good about that.

CCP, you need to start training up your Sensor Compensation skills. Maybe add a Sensor Backup Array? Use a bigger ship.... :)
