it's almost as ugly as the imicus.

I would have made him nude and greek-esque and pissing into a fountain.

Imicus serves a purpose though.

I would have made him nude and greek-esque too, but I would have the statue pissing into the mouths of every idiot that ever bought a Apple product.

The Apple IIe was a solid product that served my family well through the late 80's and early 90's Big smile

Steve Jobs isn't the only one being recently disgraced with a hideous sculpture, Kurt Cobain just got the same treatment as well. Shocked

Seriously. It looks like hippy Jesus crying into his guitar.

Thinking about all this, these memorial type statues are just horrendous really, because they are designed by committee, and everyone thinks they know what's best.

The best article I found about all this discusses these issues and the horrendous public outcry when Maya Lin submitted her minimalist idea for the Vietnam Memorial.

The "Black Gash of Shame": Revisiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Controversy (Which was probably the last time we got a really great piece of public memorial art).

That pretty much applies to everything else too.

Well, not necessarily. Engineering, mathematics, physics etc. all have a common reference.
You can't bullshit and get away with it like you can in art ... or anything else that relies on a subjective reference ;)

Note my use of "pretty much", which allows flexibility and exception in the statement to a degree.

I'm not at all in the mood for a semantics argument. I mean, really...............
