Form and function.

Not potatoes.

If you want to talk about a bunch of crap mashed together, look at the Minmatar ships. What the hell are those wingy bits for?

They have a name you know.

Also, launchers are for kiting wimps that can't handle brawling at 500m like 'real men'. Lol

Yeah, the target. And you savages calling for minmatar ships to be "beautified" should get out!!!

I think it would be cool if the Ishkur got this new updated Tristan model too. Since they are both drone frigates. Keep the Enyo as the Incursus model.

Or is thee a plan to completely redo all of the T2 Frigates at some point like they did with the Covert Ops?

looks nice, really nice. I don't understand why CCP are spending time updating already attractive ships whilst plain ugly ones never get any love.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

The ugliest ship in the game is the Moa.

When are they gonna fix THAT??

Yay my favorite internet spaceship!

I really like the new look. I'm happy they didn't change it around too much and kept the "fat man" looks.

pew pew

My roommate speculated on news outlets reporting that Minmatar ships increase capacitor by 500% after they learn not to stack their solar panels.

You Are right about that one.

And don't forget the Caldari freighters I call them the flying Brick. bahahahaha LolP

Minmatar ships I call them War Ships and yes they might be held with duct tape and have rust in them but they do fly faster than other ships in the game.LolPBlink

Gallante Ships I also Like should leave them alone.

Caldari ships they all need to be worked on and refined.

Amarr Ships leave them as is and bring back the gold & red design if I am correct on that one.

Objectively wrong

Every time I see a Tristan I always think "Where's the rest of it's body?!"

Ooooh nice. Just found a bit of video from the 2012 fanfest that showed this Tristan model and the Amarr Crucifier.

It includes a few concepts for a new Imicus and Atron and a few others. So they are coming eventually and they say they plan on redesigning all the old ships. Included it in case anyone hasn't seen it. I think I linked to the section where it is discussed but if not it is about half way through.

Undeniably better than what we have now, but doesn't go far enough.

Those vertical wingy-thingies should be swept back to no more than 30 deg to horizontal, thus maintaining a closer family resemblance to the Nemesis.

This would also make the turret hardpoints a bit more sensible because, as it stands, it looks alarmingly as if the present positions on the vertical surfaces will be continued, which is just plain ludicrous.

I got that slightly wrong - it goes too far.

The swept-back warp configuration of the new hull is exactly what was required, but they should have left it at that - the animation is unnecessary and pointless.

That said, it's still a vast improvement and the turrets can be mounted in sensible positions.

At last I can undock in a Tristan without almost dying of embarrassment.

I don't get people who don't like the animation. It is like you have no joy in your life or something. I imagine you all sitting in grey rooms scowling any time anything delightful happens.

I'm guessing the animations are going to be the new thing now so you should probably get used to it.
