Socket Closed Restart resulting in lost ships

I'm able to play the game for the most part now, I play it on full screen but with graphics that can be set to medium and the rest high. Plays pretty well, except it constantly freezes, and after a few minutes, sometimes, 10 minutes, it says socket closed restart. If I think this is happening, I just force quit the app and start it up again. Sometimes I can go an hour sometimes, I can only go a few minutes.

I'm using a 13" macbook pro - Brand new
OSX 10.8.3
2.9GHz Intel Core i7
8GB Ram
Intel HD graphics 4000

Anyone got any suggestions?

So got back in game, took 5 minutes for it to freeze up again. Was able to salvage one ship. Now it's just sitting there.. waiting for the socket closed message now.

Where can I find the error logs so I can post them here as well?

and it froze again! this time it lasted almost 10 minutes, now it's just sitting there. Luckily there's nothing around me. But What the F*CK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had a similar issue where my game crashes every few minutes. It just hangs and I can't actually do anything except move my mouse around. It's been going on since February 2 or 4, I can't even remember anymore. No fix to my problem. Only thing the support ticket has told me to do is delete my eve online folder and start a new one. I went over and beyond that after it didn't work and reinstalled the entire game. No fix.

I asked for a refund after about 2 weeks and they forwarded me over to the billing department. Now, it's been over a week and I haven't heard a peep from these people. I've emailed them asking for a response, nothing. The game still doesn't work.

Thanks vex. I'm about done as well. It makes the game almost unplayable and extremely frustrating. Which is a shame because the game is interesting. I'll have to ask for a refund as well I gues

Hi Jackal, have you tried updating to the latest version of OSx 10.9.2? I haven't had any issues like you discribe on this version.

My Macbook Air was on Maverick and had the exact same issue. But the Air was older and had the NVidia graphics card. I'll upgrade to Maverick and see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion

Upgraded my Macbook pro to Maverick, that didn't help at all.
