belt/anom ratting
mission salvaging
exploration profession sites
wh gas mining
mining
distribution missions
combat missions
courier contracts
market oppourtunism (buy in hubs, sell in other places for profit, many other forms to snipe little bits of isk off the market)
scamming
suicide ganking haulers and frigates carrying expensive stuff
faction warfare plexing
low-end t1 manufacturing such as ammo.
PI extraction planets
PI factory planets

Plus he can join a corp where they'll pay him to do stuff, such as be a scout.

There are corps that pay you for beeing a scout?

I know of 100% reimburstment for scouts but this is new to me.

Anyway, sounds like a realy nice concept.

You need like 2 days of training to run exploration plexes that give a better isk/hr rate than lvl 4 missions. do that.

BYDI recruitment closed-ish

I wonder why not everyone is doing this when it is so easy.

Generally they don't pay you to scout per say, but if you are poor your ships get replaced in some way and you'll also get a cut of the loot. (Not to mention hero tackle tends to get isk thrown at them in the wake of a good fight.) Generally what happens is your corpmates will let you follow them around looting while they are running sites/missions, or ratting. Any corp who let's newbies in has an informal or formal set of things newbies can do to earn isk from PI, ratting, or the like. If it doesn't it's a bad corp, or a corp that shouldn't be taking in newbies.

The key is to let your corpmates know you are dirt poor without begging. If your only tackling frigate explodes don't whine, and demand a replacement. Say that was fun, but you need to go back and grind some more isk so you can pvp. For the average Eve player the cost of frigate is nothing.

They won't pay you to scout in a pvp gang, but if I'm ratting, moving an expensive ship, or moving something else expensive, shooting some isk towards a rookie to help me out is nothing unusual. Its good for him and good for me. You don't always have an alt available.

Also, with those same skills (including learning to scan) you can also ninja salvage other people's lvl4 missions for decent ISK, if you want to also try out the 'messing with people' aspect of EVE Lol

Salvage!

Get a destroyer and fit 4 tractor beams and 4 salvagers.

Clean L4 mission runners missions for them and take a cut of 50%.

Enjoy the best new player income possible.

I've seen 2 day old players making over 10 mil an hour and once you have a noctis you can see well over 20 mil an hour.

If you get real social and become a known salvager you can clean more than one guy at a time using bookmarks.

You can see a solid 50 million per hour steady if you grow the business at a mission hub, act social and earn trust of the local L4 players.

Use any down time to play the market because you will get good at knowing the market if you payout the mission runners immediately based on the number in your cargo but keep the items to sell or reprocess as you see fit.

You can also use the ore / salvage to build the drones/ammo/rigs these runners use and stock the same hub you work out of with goods.

Double/Triple dip income.
Get good with it and the sky is the limit.

Good luck.

If you're in high sec have a go at combat exploration, ignore anyone stating "high sec sucks for exploration" because it's REALLY good income, kinda relaxing and doesn't feel as grindy as doing missions.

Station trading is worth it, if you have enough capital to trade. The more you have, the more you'll be able to make.

Keep in mind it takes time, some basic skills and preparation. But I have never made more ISK on anything else. (this could also mean I'm just not a very good pilot lol)

One thing that could work is to get your friend to train up for a Noctis and just hang out in mission hubs and ask politely in local chat if anyone has wrecks they don't want. Offer to send them back 40% after you liquidate loot and salvage, if you do it right and prove you are reliable you could make anything up to 100m per hour if you are working flat out on good missions like Blockade, etc.

QFT.

Actually you dont even have to tell anything about sending them money back. A lot of missionrunners dont actually salvage or loot the wrecks, just blitz throug the mission. And a lot of them happily send you the bookmark instead of giving the wrecks to a ninja.

Do this myself when I watch TV while doing missions.

Why not just scan down the mission ship and just stay a room behind them? No need to ask anyone.
