Screen saver comes on in full screen mode

I have been able to leave my EVE Client up and running on my Windows 7 Pro (64 Bit) system for hours and hours without the screen saver coming on. Now If I walk away and come back my EVE client is minimized and the screen saver is active. Is this the intended way for the full screen mode to work? Or is there a setting I can change somewhere that says "don't allow screen saver when in full-screen mode"?

I did some playing around and I remembered that I switched to DirectX 11 the other day. Switching back to DirectX 9 does not let the screen saver come on. So my graphics may not be as good as they were with 11, but my computer says awake when I go afk for a few minutes. Honestly I did not see any difference between 11 and 9 anyway. But my computer is 3 years old.
