unable to access remote info-file

When starting launcher (on either of my clients: pc/laptop) i get a pop up with following message

Remote Info-file could not be fetched

here is a screen shoot from the error

Note:

I can ping the client.eveonline.com just fine.

Im on a slow connection, far from the servers. downloading a fresh install can take many hours since there not seem to be any CDN available in this part of the world. so i would appriciate other suggestions.

(or CCP staff make the patch file available) Big smileBig smile

found a work around

established a VPN to a europe connection.

restarted launcher

when restarted, closed vpn

now im able to login

seems to be network related, ive seen issues like this before from MEA and SEA, im guessing some CDN related stuff
