completing missions in low sec?

or is it just the same amount of security status increase?

I just realised that normal security missions don't spawn on the overview in low sec like FW missions do.

Stupid i know that should have been obvious but the great thing is that no one can find you unless they scan you down with probes.

So if you keep an eye on a 360 short d you should see the probes and/or see your would be attackers coming.

One problem with low sec pvp seems to be the inherent sec status loss you incur for attacking 'neutrals' im just trying to mitigate that loss by mixing it up with a few missions in between. Did 2 or 3 level 2's in a pvp fit assault frig last nite and gained a whopping 0.1 sec status increase.

I saw one nice suggestion on these forums that neutrals who enter FW plexes should receieve an engagment or even suspect timer. I really believe that this would help the situation. At the moment all you can do is take the sec status hit and eventually become full pirate.

Sure you can farm or buy clone soldier tags for status but isnt the process of handing them in really long winded? Somebody told me you need to have like 5 tags of each type or something or other. And they are really expensive too.

Is there a better way to manage your sec status?

Also are level 3 missions doable/worth doing in a pvp fit assault frig, or should i wait and get a pvp fit hac?

many thanks

Alot of the level 3 missions are easy in an AF, some like Blockade would be a bit slow and tiresome and you don't want to be hanging around for too long. The other side of the coin is that the easier or fastest to blitz missions are the ones with the least effect on your sec status.

If you are just after sec status, belt ratting and sniping anoms would be the way I would go, or doing DED / exploration plexes.

Sec status is increased based on the rats you kill

A low-sec mission will not spawn higher bounty rats than the same mission in high-sec

Basically unless it has changed the highest value rat you kill in a system is all that counts towards sec status.(Or the highest in a 20 minute tick)

What people used to do is jump through 5-6 systems killing 1 bs rat to regen sec status.

Train Fast Talk to 4 if you want to get your sec status back up.

I'd just point to the second part of this: https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Tags_for_Security

Just wanted to point out that the Security Status Increase Timer was reduced to 5 minutes when Security Tags were implemented.

Also I believe session change no longer affects it.
