Funny you'd presume to ask. "Interesting" does not half cover it.

You'll find that many things that seem to have changed are in fact the same deal on new paper, and that some things that seem the same aren't. It's a funny universe.

Wel Mr Redpants has two achievements already.

The first one: everyone agrees he's a blathering fool, quite the achievement on IGS to make everyone agree!

Second: Banana bread! And even a fine & excellent recipe!
Also, how does one torch a ship when attempting to cook? Must doublecheck the crew kitchen fire security measures, I don't want it to happen to me!

I couldn't tell you how it happens. Both times I set the oven to pre-heat and went back to my pod to run some quick diagnostics, and proof, no ship. Stopped cooking after that.

Both times.... so you lost 2 ships this way?

I'm going to request you keep at least a 100m distance away from my oven at all times.

I'd like to announce that Apollo Lyserius' Planetary Industries will now be switching part of it's production from Machine Parts to Banana Breads. We're still keeping our consumer electronics production intact, so anyone who buy one of our iPollos will receive a 50% discount coupon on a banana bread pack.

Like I said, I don't cook anymore. I hire a galley cook.

Frankly Osyn, I don't understand why you didn't have one before. You need to "hire" a galley cook? Here in the Federation, warships come staffed and we don't have "kitchens." Oh. OH. I think I understand now, you pilot RS's. Well I do suppose the world of recreational ships is much different from the world of state-of-the-art warships dignified individuals pilot. Maybe I can catch a ride in your Opux next time you're tooling around Essence vineyards.

Mademoiselle Rhiannon, some more of the old guard has come out of the woodwork here as well and contacted me directly via NeoComms. I had to let them down that I wasn't dead. It would seem there was some wishful thinking happening (and at lease one major bet lost) on the part of the old Galnet regulars... Regardless of their renewed lack of enthusiasm for my living presence, the world turns as they say. I must say Else, that there seems to be a breach in the database for Galnet from when I was active. I had to employ some data interpolation chips in conjunction with old fashioned hacking to access the information which now resides on the other side of a data dam.

I was able to reconstruct some of this archaic database which you and I shared in. If you point your comms to Galnet Archives you may enjoy a trip down memory lane or, if you prefer as I call it, unmemorable lane. That's a joke yes? I'm never quite sure.

First, a ship kitchen is called a galley, all warships with a crew have one.
Second, if I choose to pay for a higher quality chef for my crew, that's my business.
And finally, you have no ground to stand on talking about dignity. Go crawl back into whatever grubby hole you slithered out of.Straight

P.S. this thread is about banana bread. Please keep it on topic.
