DBRB had people from CCP thanking him at Fanfest for the huge welp at Asakai. They said his mis-click did more good than their entire marketing budget.

We are having a competition to see what is the dumbest thing we can get Dinsdale to believe.

EVE is a game about spaceships and there's an enormous amount of work to do on the in-space gameplay before players (or developers) are ready to sacrifice it for a totally new type of gameplay - CCP Rise

We might have to wait a while. I understand he's locked himself in a bunker waiting till Ragnarok ends.

i see one problem here:
let's say i'm PL leader (LoL) and i'm having heavy losses in this battle. Suddenly i'm contacted by CCP (we will call it 'X') and asked to not 'overload' node.

Now i have 2 options:
1) batphone everybody and his dog and mitigate losses, possibly win the fight or crash the node
2) agree to X's offer and have losses.

Ok, let's say X pays me to chose second way. What currency can he use?
- ISK: it won't help because those Titans need to be built, and ISK won't help to recover fast
- real money: it won't help to alliance.

So for every long-term alliance leader this offer would be not acceptable

No, ultimately it's understood that the majority of these kind of game's content comes from player interaction.

We make the ships to lose the ships. What everyone wants is the right opportunity to put to use what they've worked for.

A financial agreement between the major power blocs and CCP, the people generating most of this games communicable content, to concoct a scheme resulting in the mass destruction of billions of isk worth of investment is overall, more healthy for the entire game.

People have something too long without the need to replace, then the entire invested infrastructure used to make the initial and replacement items becomes stagnant, resulting in a loss of interest in those persons.

So this entire thing reinvigorated the economy, reinvigorated new player subscriptions, and enticed alot of ex-members to return.

A collaborative agreement between the major content producers(power blocs) and CCP is WIN-WIN for everyone involved, even the ones who lose.
