It depends on what the award means...
If you're giving out awards as an equivalent to campaign medals then everyone involved gets one, if you're giving "achievements" to newer players then it's rather patronising to not apply the same ones to older players... Prizes for tournaments go the same way.
If you award yourself a decoration for parallel parking into a planet then as long as your corp know the story behind it, who else needs to be concerned?

If, on the other hand, the awards you're giving out are pure bragging rights - reign in the ego.

FYI: Despite their excessive cost..ahem, some CEO's actually use decorations as a way to track individuals training progress and quals against the baseline 'all done' graduation decorations on his own toon, and to allow other members to also self-regulate each other in clear terms.

For example, members of my merry band cannot undock combat shinies worth more than 100m ISK for pvp until they have first collected specific predecessor training decorations. Other members can quickly confirm if said member should be doing that based on a quick decoration check when I am not online, etc.

So, not saying every CEO does this, or such a regimented approach works for all corps, but decorations have way more uses to some people than just ePeen'ing

Giving yourself medals is a fine tradition. All the best dictators have done it. The Shah, Muammar Khadafi, Ferdinand Marcos, Idi Amin, and a lot of South American generalissimos.

I guess ill need to make some medals for The Troll Bridge. I don't want to give one to myself though...so maybe Ill have Unsuccessful's Assistant give it to me, that way its legit.


As for quotes, I never quote myself in my bios, But ive lost count of how many bios ive seen with my quotes in them.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

How many awards would be needed to cause TiDi to kick in?
