A couple of thousand interactive chatboxes where you ban someone by shooting their pod.

Well, I am quite enjoying it at the moment; due to time constraints though I think it will take me a couple of weeks to work through the Career Agents and finally step into 'the big, wide world'...

But I suppose that as my skills are always steadily improving that I will then be in a better position than if I just rushed through them in a day...

All this clone/gene technology... Why am I still ginger!?

Experiment: Go onto any other games forums with a similar thread and compare the responses to this one.

Actually no I can already tell you the outcome of said experiment, you'll get a whole bunch of positive feedback about how great INSERT_NAME is and people will generally tell you to have fun. Comparing to this threads we have pedophiles chasing you down and 'piwates' to watch out for.

Conclusion: Eve is different, let's leave it at that. Big smile
Maybe you'll like it, maybe you'll miss the point and spend months blinging out a mission running ship only to get ganked and then ragequit.

This is a terrible thread. As such, it's locked. - CCP Falcon

To answer your question: Sins everyone here is talking around your question.

Your question "What is EVE?"

Eve

1. name of the first woman: wife of Adam and progenitor of the human race. Gen. 3:20.

2. a female given name: from a hebrew word meaning “life.”

Its the game i keep on not playing...ship spinning, skill queing and spending hours reading about while your alt (because face it even not playing you still need an altRoll) is mining to make money...

It's an emotional roller coaster where every bad emotion is bought about by your own mistakes and every good emotion is bought about by someone else's mistakes.

Pan the camera out far enough, and it's just pixels swarming around other pixels in a way that begins to take on some sort of wild, psychadelic pattern predicted by some mathematicians who may or may not have gone to Berkeley in the 60's.

And then you'll return X months later with the idea that maybe you too can make someone ragequit.

Here's another gem from Fanfest 2013 about EVE (and game balance in general)...

Actually ... as anyone with broken video drivers can tell you ... EVE is just a big cube that you get stuck inside and pictures of stars and stellar gas clouds and stuff get projected on the inner 6 faces of the cube :D

I haven't been playing for that long, from what I gather it's 'good times will be had by all' mixed in with getting kicked in the nuts every so often.

EVE is a lot like real life. Everyone is locked up in their own room for a while, and then when everyone comes out they try to shoot and scam each other because all they've had to talk to is their own reflection in the mirror.

OP is a spy, I can see it from the pixels.
Don't allow the OP to access opsec intel.
