Not freezing up, but slow.

Getting 3 FPS (on a good GPU - 680 4Gb). When I boot in windows it's smooth as silk.

Welcome to the wonders of the Cider emulation layer that has to turn directX into OpenGL.

Start turning your settings down: Shader, texture, LOD, shadows, anti-aliasing, and so on. You should be able to find an acceptable compromise between speed and image quality. With a 330m I usually run 20 to 30 fps.
