So why did you quote my post when your rant had nothing to do with what I said?

Now if you look at this threads history, you'll see you addressed me first.
No, I never addressed you until you started quoting my posts and coughing up all kinds of unrelated drivel in “response”.

Quote:
So somewhere in what I said, you felt as though my statements addressed you.
No, and that's why I'm asking: what does anything you wrote when you quoted me have to do with my posts? The fact that you quote me suggests that you're addressing me; the incoherent ramblings of your post suggests you're not. If you're not addressing me, why are you quoting me?

yea I think I quoted you instead of someone else. I went back and checked and had no clue why you were the one selected. sorry!

Having re-read your early forum posts, you portray yourself as someone who enjoys EvE and wishes to defend it.

You can defend it without ad-hominem attacks though, no need to call someone with a different opinion than you "pathetic".

Now I have no problem with that. You can be bad if you want to, but you can't ***** about me thinking of you as the person you paint yourself to be.

You'll be regarded as an *******. You are one, based on your actions. If you're fine with accepting the fact that you're a person of low moral character and most likely untrustworthy, then I'm fine accepting my labeling of you as such.

The really funny part is how he thinks blowing up pixels in a game that explicitly allows you to do so makes you a bad person irl.

I didn't call him pathetic because he had a different opinion. I called him a pathetic twit little because he felt that the correct response (to what essentially sounds like a gross misunderstanding of the game) is to slander the game and its players, and to try to ruin its future rather than, say, attempt to understand what happened and why, and figure out what he can do to solve those problems.

In other words, he wishes to ruin the game for everyone because something in the game didn't go his way. I feel “pathetic little twit” is a fairly mild description.

Unfortunately high sec IS a cess-pool. You don't know who your friends are, you don't know who your enemies are. I've seen on numerous occasions inside starter systems, right outside station undock, jet cans with the label "Free Treasure", and a battleship 50km away ready to alpha anyone dumb enough to take it.

I don't care what eve culture dictates, that's just dirty and wrong. I might as well go to the nearest elementary school and hand out candy laced with razor blades, "To teach them what the world is really like". I mean, I'm sure their parents taught them not to take candy from strangers right? It's their own fault for not listening. We don't need them anyway, they'll just contaminate the gene pool with their dumbness.

That's the attitude we have in Eve, they're gonna get boned sooner or later, might as well make it sooner, they tend to fight back less.

I've had a long and hard road in eve to get where I am today, and by no means do I feel eve needs to soften up for the masses, but new player poaching is cowardly. Some really take it to the extreme... to those victim of it, I say join a corp, make some friends...this kind of stuff generally happens most to those who play the game single-player.

CCP has made it clear that as a New Order representative my posts are not welcome in NPQA. Since I can't help new players before they are ganked I will educate through antimatter. New players are important to Eve and I aim to see as many as I can introduced to ship violence the way I was. At 3wks my Venture and pod were ganked by a pirate. Instead of creating a Whinney Litttle ***** thread on the forums I made friends with that guy and learned all I could.

So OP, please don't generalize to all noobs. Some of us actually relish and thrive in the unique competitive environment only Eve provides.

Translation: I'm pissed that the noob I help didn't learn fast enough so now I'm off to gank new players for ****'s and giggles, cause **** shooting bears that would know how to shoot back, amirite?

If a guy gets in a mining ship, he's not looking to PvP. He's looking to mine.

Now someone who chooses to force unwanted PvP on someone for their own amusement at the expense of that other person is a mean spirited, negative action.

Your entire motivation is to upset someone else by preying on their vulnerability. There's no competition in it, it's purely malicious and self-centered.

Well ya, opinions are like assholes everyone has one.

I have very strong moral character. You really don't know me at all to be quite honest. Even my psuedoself Mario Putzo you do not know. I am very polite when I kill people, I rarely if ever link **** pics in local. I always say gf even if I lose. I will even offer advice to you if you convo me after I kill you.

Because I am not a ****. I want to see eve grow and prosper, and that includes PVP, and PVE. Why...because I enjoy the game, and others should too. If you think I am out to just **** all over your house, and **** in your cereal you really don't know me at all.

**** I took a dozen people to nullsec on my own time just for the sole purpose of dying. We all had a great time. You should have been there. So sorry for bringing content to people, sorry for making the game enjoyable for people...and yes sometimes people get upset along the way...but if you think its purely on intent to cause grief...you really don't know me.

You can think of me however you like though, but if that is your attitude towards people playing the game it is no wonder you think everyone is out to get you.

I'm calling B.S.

That's a clear violation of CCP's policy about the care and handling of n00bs - They take that stuff seriously. If you saw such, and didn't petition it immediately, you've failed.

#1, Why should I care what he's looking for? The game isn't about asking nicely ahead of time if he's prepared for violence. The game isn't about fair fights and fair fights only.

#2, So, your basic point is that you don't believe in sandbox games? I mean, you're telling me that his choice to not be prepared to fight should trump my desire to fight. Eff that.

#3, I'm blowing up his ship, and taking his stuff. Whether or not I am rewarded with tears is entirely up to him.

'Ubers' is quite flattering really, 'old' less so. These posts make me want to go out and gank a miner randomly. I wonder if these types of forum squawking discourage or encourage ganking generally. Having said that I did pop an afk corpie when I was a couple of weeks old and pretended I had an overview bug. Guess I've always been uber.

All you're doing is reinforcing my belief that you're a negative, self-centered person. Explaining how and why you make yourself happy attempting to inflict misery upon others does nothing other than prove my point that you, and people who operate with your philosophy of self-gratification at the expense of others, are nothing but psychopaths who should be dealt with as such.

At what point is shooting someone's ship when the rules of the game we are both playing permit me to do so, not ok? That's like telling me that playing Monopoly is evil, because at some point I'll be taking the fake play money out of someone's hands.
