Graphics Driver crashing ---- [Intel HD Integrated Graphics]

Almost every time I jump to a new system or un-dock, my screen flashes, goes blank for about 15-seconds, and then goes back to a normal, with a pop-up dialog from the system tray along the lines of "Intel Graphics Driver has crashed."

This is a well-documented issue. See any of the following:

In the link above, a player describes how he fixed this problem by downloading an old driver (from 2011 or so, but only a month old at the time). He then changes a few settings:

Anisotropic filtering >>> "2x"
Vertex processing >>> "Enable Software Processing"
Vertical Sync >>> "On"

Naturally, I tried this out. Now when I un-dock or jump, the screen doesn't turn black and the Intel Graphics Driver doesn't crash. Everything is fine and dandy: I can give commands to my ship, move the camera, use the UI, etc.

Then, suddenly, EVE takes a massive **** and crashes, about 15 seconds after my ship enters space.

POSSIBLE FIX? (EDIT: Looks like EVE is randomly crashing with this driver installed)

Just installed "v8.15.10.2189", with the aforementioned custom graphics settings. So far, it works great! No screen flashing. Will update after some more extensive testing.

Are you using a laptop? My understanding is that you should'nt modify drivers on a laptop as they've been fine-tuned for that particular laptop.

I am on a laptop. I've since regained the original functionality, but the original problem with the graphics driver crashing is still there.

UPDATE:

So I installed EVE on my Ubuntu 12.10 Linux distro with wine 1.7. It turns out that the original issue isn't present on linux.

I don't know much about Linux graphics drivers, but a quick glance at the EVE settings window tells me the driver is "Intel Iron Lake Mobile 1".

Thought I'd mention this just in case anyone out there is really dying to play EVE on their device with Intel graphics. I haven't tested this, but I imagine that an Ubuntu OS running inside a VMWare window would also work.

have that for months now. Support told me to send DXDIAG and to update drivers. The drivers update however didn't bring an improvement.
Every now and then it does take way longer than 15 seconds to relaunch... which cost me at undock in NPC 0.
Tried everything else I could find via google. Didn't work.
Fortunately it's on my work laptop, so that I have another one at home that works properly otherwise I'd be quite ******. This issue is restricting you to HS as undock gets real dangerous like this.
