Hello Dear CCP Devs,
I'm asking a question for my Chinese friends from Serenity Server, as a hot discussion is going on there about whether the EVE Monument will have the names of Serenity players on it.

At the moment, the Serenity server hosting company, TianCity, has made an unofficial announcement via an ISD, that Serenity Players' "main characters of all active accounts, with active subscription 'at a point of time'" (this link is in chinese) will be added on to that monument.

However, this announcement is being suspected by many Serenity players as CCP has yet explicitly talked about the Serenity server and the Monument at the same time.

To make things worse, the ISD who discoursed "the plan" to Serenity players, without providing more details about the plan, is actively promoting the "Name change service" (a service only available on Serenity server which costs ￥100 Chinese Yuan) and encouraging players to "subscribe a new account with character name: XXXX I love you forever, cost-effective and romantic" and create character name of politic slogans "You can write "DiaoYu Island belong to China" on that Monument". Which make people feel like it's a trap to attract subscription and sell name change service.

I entrusted by my Chinese friends to forward the question to CCP, that whether or not, the players from Serenity , will be etched upon the Monument?

Only Tranquility players should be on the monument I reckon. Will DUST players get a name of the monument? Any chinese players on Tranquliity [which I am sure there are some] will of course get to see their names on the monument.

maybe it could be a good idea to actually publish said list after you filter it and before it is engraved on it, so player could help in tracking any offensive content you might have missed or not known about?

after all, there will be a ton of names, from a ton of countrys, and meanings could be country dependant.

I have mixed feelings about the filter though.
Will the account be stricken from the list or. Will the next alt be used( assuming one is present )?

Are you basing that logic on the perceived fact that real life people and places should adhere to game rules?

"Are you going to start feeding chicken legs in hospitals to heal people?" is basically what you're saying.

They make it onto the CCP HQ bathroom wall instead.
