Hi all

Any point in using wcs in a prowler or would it be better with istabs or nanos? Low and null sec hauling.

Thanks

As you can’t get under 2sec align, I use 1 wcs and 1 nano in low/null for the occasional instalock point.
Don't forget to fit an MWD to get out of bubble and make decloacking harder as well.

Insta lock doesn't exist, for the exact reason you describe as the 2 second "rule".

OP, it depends on how you look at it and how many cargo expanders you need. Generally with a ship like that if you have to start relying on WCS you're doing something wrong. Hit warp and cloak up immediately and you can't be targeted any more unless you get uncloaked. If you have to burn out of a bubble then start moving the ship, then cloak and THEN hit MWD. In that order. If you spawn in too close to something that will uncloak you as you're aligning simply cloak burn back to the gate, jump out and try again.

So in the vast majority of cases you don't need WCS if you do it right, and if you're persistent in doing it wrong WCS won't save you. It can be an extra layer of "I did everything right, yet due to bad luck or a good tackler pilot I got uncloaked, lets hope he's too slow or doesn't have a scram". So don't fit one to be used as your first/main defence, that'll never work.

fitting a blockade runner is about taking precautions for an unlikely event (getting caught). In the event that you get caught, any precautions you take will likely only have a small chance of working. In some situations you'll wish you had wcs, and in other situations you'll wish you had nanos.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

thanks for the replies guys. Probably sticking with nanos then.
