How to get through blocked acceleration gates

Acceleration gate not letting your ship travel through?

No problem - just line up the gate properly and fly along the path of the gate for 10,000 km

I did it last night in an Ares

Travelling at 5km/s it took me 33 minutes to arrive on grid

So you can calculate how long it will take for your ship by multiplying accordingly.

You have a ~600km circle to aim for (the size of the grid area) so its difficult to miss if you line up the gate propely in the first place.

If there are scannable objects in the grid area you can use them with the D scanner to home in on the grid area

What ship fast and light enough to travel at 5km/s for 33mins would be blocked by an acceleration gate? Kudos to you for testing the theory though.

It was one that required a particular key to pass, that I didnt have.

Unfortunately the complex was a bit too hard for a lone inty with no DPS mods and 2 guns.

But I plan to go back with a HAC

There are actually some missions that are connectd by accel gates and are NOT deadspace - you can use an inty to fly between rooms, BM them, and warp back in a larger ship.

Just dont get caught doing this in complexes as it is petitionable if you are using a ship class not allowed by the gate. Not sure about missions vOv

Nerfing High-sec is never the answer. It is the question. The answer is 'YES'.

L2read.

It is not about keys but ship types.

Kinda cool. Seems like a nifty way to safely run a plex in low/null as someone trying to warp to you would be blocked by the gate.

Except that people who haunt them usually have a spare key.
