I look at my fellow citizens walking down the street here in Tampa, and ponder at the fact that 70% of them think science is completely wrong, irrelevant, and unnecessary.

I would like to see the science used to arrive at that number. Please! Pirate

Poling citizens is Science ?

Go ask the Tampa Bay Times about it then.

Today, not before reading some posts in "Features & Ideas" I finally realized:

Stupidity is self defense. AttentionShocked

Really, if some people knew how daft they really were, they would just plain kill themselves.

I can't and won't go into details about this as that would be (I believe) a violation of the forum rules, but DAMN some people are stupid. If it weren't so sad, it could be really impressive... Shocked

EDIT: And just to give this thread some purpose: What was your greatest realization when reading the EVE or some other forums?

Internet anonymity will be the downfall of man.

People aren't usually as cocky and trolly when they are looking you in the face, but you put them behind a computer screen in their mom's basement and their bravado increases exponentially.

True, true.

Don't get me wrong, I like internet anonymity, it's cool to be able to voice your opinion without having to fear that the 300 pound human gorilla over there in that other corner will break each and every bone in your body for doing so, but sometimes I really feel like some people should be pushed right to stage four*.

Stage four: learning through pain.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

Stage 4 is stage 1 for house pets. Why should people be any different? When your puppy goes to the bathroom on your nice carpet you don't set the beast in the corner for a time out and a lesson in reasoning. No! You spank it and rub its face in the naughty! We should do the same for people. General level of common sense would likely increase.

I think that one shouldn't post on the internets what you aren't able to say face to face to someone.

Perhaps the US Government should get right on this! They should create a device that stops insincere posti.....

Lol, do you remember the threads about how people got killed by "invisible" Battlecruisers because they forgot to update their overview settings after the new BC's have been introduced? Lol

Threads full of tears, whining?
