the ESS is totally broken

If you truly think that CCP Devs forgot there were anoms in null sec when they created the limitations to where the ESS could be anchored then why hasn't a Dev responded to this thread yet? The devs have admitted their mistakes in planning in the past and have posted them in threads. This thread has been going on for days now and not a peep from the Devs.

CCP Devs are not as dumb as you think they are.

because as clearly shown and explained CCP and perhaps some of the testers(lazy people) wernt cleaver enough to find the flaws/bugs/exploits/glitches as the goons and a few others have clearly found.. So.. the ESS needs to be revised, maybe make it so rats DO attack it meaning the nestor and logi bonused t3 or ships with logi moduals can rep it up now and again while out ratting or have it in a deep safe with bubbles galore and some sabre alt camping it.. not hard to camp a gate is it? so its even less hard to camp an ESS

Personally, I think ESS's most useful function was removed when they prevented it from working in Worm holes.
Apart from that, I have yet to see them used where I am at.

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

Support better localization for the Japanese Community.

This still doesn't explain why a Dev has not commented on this thread. They have definitely read this thread and the article on The Mittani's website. They know that people are anchoring ESS inside of anomalies. Since they have not commented it can be construed that the ESS is working as designed.

This makes me wonder why pods are able to access the ESS at all. I mean you go through all the trouble of spawning so many rats on top of it and it can be completely bypassed by leaving your ship. It wouldn't be unprecedented to prevent pods from using it, after all the mechanic already exists with fw plexs where you cannot enter them in pods and would only reinforce the mechanic.

If you want to use the ESS you should have to bring a ship and not be able to bypass rats using a pod. Simple really.
