EVE players wanted DUST to fail before it was even released, and now that it's been out for a while and still doing mediocre they act all surprised and angry and say it's all CCP's fault.

and here's a newsflash for you, you are also a eve player. So by your demented logic you also wants dust to fail.

I'd be perfectly cool if dust succeeded as that would make it self sustaining and not chewing EVE resources, but by the same token I don't want the universe doing impossible things on me, because of my structured worldview, likelyhood of cognitive dissonance and all that.

A PC port so dust and eve ran on the same client platform and could thus cross market properly, and so that ultimately eve<->dust experiences could be more seamlessly integrated into a combined arms game... oh hey wouldya look at that, I just done tripped myself over an elephant in this room.

The moment you open Dust to PC you effectively put New Eden into the hands of whichever alliance has more hackers.

It would be pretty much the worst idea ever, except that it's right behind the fact that it's on the PS3 and they used Unreal to power it. I guess hiring a bunch of cheap Chinese labor to make a ground breaking video game and going for the absolute cheapest engine they could find didn't really pan out for them.

I play and enjoy dust

The only real problem with it at the moment is getting wrecked against stacked teams

Matchmaking remains the largest problem for day-to-day pubbing.

Squads should be forced to fight other squads. If you are putting one organized group of individuals against a group of disorganized individuals, the battle was decided by the matchmaking system and not by the players.

That's bad game design, period.

Maybe it's in octal, Dust has no players, and Eve has dropped to just over 300k players. That seems more likely.

Unfortuanetly 900K can't exist in octal.

I feel bad. I'm going to go wash out my brain.
