Caracal fit for range would probably do level 3 missions fine. But why do them in lowsec if you are trying to make isk?

Paying a ransom gives you a very good chance of falling into the second category.

Most reputable pirate corps have a policy of honoring ransoms. Having a reputation for doing so ensures that people will at least consider our offers to save their pod/ship. That said, this not all follow this code of ethics. Better to get to know the local residents of your low sec neighborhood of choice. This will give you a better idea when/where is safe, as well as who is likely to act in what manner.

Also.. not all pirates will ask for your isk. Some just want your dignity Big smile
