Uhm. No. Because most EVE players just dint give a **** about Dust.

To most they dont even care its there nor would be even conserned if CCP took it down.

So, you are NOT well known. Actually you are the opposite.

As for your post:

1/10.

You could have known that joining a FW corp without even completing tutorials was going to end bad.

Choices and consequences...

You choose to join FW while in an Enemy station...consequence was a nice explosion.

Hey everyone, thanks a lot for offering me help and assistance in this matter. I didn't realize our chosen side in Dust would impact EVE.

What...

The whole 2 games, 1 universe, 1 server and being able to be in same corp didnt even make you think that DUST corp actions do affect EVE?

*sigh*

Glad you were helped. I wouldnt even started as I have no faith in Bunnies.

I'm guessing he must have joined the allied side of his corp enemy not fully understanding the way the factions work. i.e. his corp is Amarr and he joined Gallente. No one* is dumb enough to join the actual enemy faction and then be surprised at being murdered by their navy.

As for being well known in Dust, I wouldn't say most EVE players don't give a crap about Dust. I'd say that most don't even know it exists at all. But even with spending most of my time in FW I never once did a Dust bombardment. Almost no one does that I know of. One of my corp-mates was talking about it being fun and semi-lucrative, and I actually felt bad for not bothering to try it.

Regardless, problem is either sorted or the OP gave up on their weak-sauce troll, whichever is the case.

*yes I know I am wrong.

There's no need to biomass!

Just leave the corp. That's it. Leave the corp, finish the Aura tutorial and the Career Advancement tutorials that Aura points you at.

Get some instruction from Agony Unleashed. They run the occasional PvP tutorial course, and they will take you out on regular frigate & assault ship roams. You'll need to learn the skills they can teach you before you start your own orbital bombardments.

You'll also need to become familiar with who owns what space and which faction you're allied with before you start flying around with orbital bombardment turrets and ammunition.

Most people dont realize/understand what FW is or the mechanics behind it, thus many new players find them self in a situation similar to yours (maybe CCP should add in a warning once your are about to accept an invite for FW corporations?).

As Mara said there is no need to delete your character, but you might want to leave it until you feel ready to deal with the consequences Smile

I don't eat cornflakes...a good breakfast is just a very strong cup of coffee and a smoke, body doesn't need more then regular bursts of caffeine and nicotine.

Issue is...this is 1 out of 2 threads on the front page of "whining' / 'raging' because a new player did not read / did not do any research about what he was going to do and then complains about it.

Guess what, 95% of the time something bad happens it's because of something you didn't do (properly).

The other 5% is bugs.

I just wonder, why do these people even THINK that CCP will change the game to suit them. They are by far a minority who CAN'T make it past the initial hurdle, so it ain't the game that is wrong. It would be different if the big majority of the new players can't finish the tutorial because it's too hard, but that is obviously not the case.

Same here! All part of your balanced breakfast!

Eve will make you work a solid month all on your own for your first cookie. Then kick you in the nuts and take that cookie, and laugh at you for thinking you could have a cookie at all.

There's a difference. The other poster didn't bother to read the tutorial and was complaining about one loss.

This OP was destroyed every time he undocked because of an obscure mechanic he didn't understand. How could you expect him to even know Faction Warfare existed without completing the tutorial? I didn't even understand the difference between my pod and an ibis at that point. I imagine there was some kind of warning when he joined the corporation (though I've never joined FW so I don't know for sure). Even then, it's probably not incredibly obvious that npcs are going to aggress you since the focus of faction warfare is on other players.

So let me get this straight, the OP joined the opposite faction to the one he created his character in and the second he got into a ship the Faction Navy removed him from it...

Well, don't forget he was a self described famous Dust player. Reasonable to assume he is familiar with FW, as that's the entire point of Dust with respect to EVE.

2 things.

1. He comes from a DUST corp in FW. So isnt it usual that you at least do some reading about it before jumping into it, specially if it is something completely new to you.

2. As you said. He decided to do something without even finishing the tutorials first. Nuff said, usually you finish a tutorial first before doing other stuff just so you know the very basics. If you dont..all fine, but then dont act all surprised if you things happen you have no clue about.

Even had he completed the tutorials before joining his DUST corp, the tutorials don't mention Factional warfare mechanics. Plus he did apologize and thanked the people who explained his issue to him. I would lay off him a little. He was nowhere as bad as the guy who was bitching about losing a ship, because he didn't read the mission correctly.

Simple and quick.

First link...

Then forth big yellow banner clearly says it.

Dust is for the spoonfeeders.
EVE is for those who don't mind to jump to google.

And I never said he is as bad as the other enraged poster. He is FAR better and I do hope he gets his feet under him in EVE. It's just that he jumped head first into a pool, without checking how deep it is. Then don't find it weird when people tell you that next time you should check the depth first before diving and hurting your head on the bottom.
