Because they are afraid of making mistakes or breaking the game.

Some people get mad when i tell people they are in the wrong game.

Well, can I tell this guy he's in the wrong game or not?

U might have a point, but in the beginning, the game was fun and exiting... but with lack of changes, u have the right to ask questions, Say u rent a car for 5 years, u have the same car. Ur friend also rent, but get a new car every year. U both pay for it.... but does it feel right?

I rent a car for 5 years, and I take it on trips, racing, break it once or twice, mod it a bunch, and take it to a demolition derby. It's a beat up piece of junk, but that was fun as hell. The car is not fancy, but it was made to take all that and much more, which is why I look forward to another 5 years owning it. Additionally, the company who makes it doesn't make new models; they constantly put out new small parts and attachments instead, to keep it running and make it do more stuff.

My friend also rents, but he gets a new car every year. These cars are more fancy, and drive around all comfy-like, but he can only do what it was meant for: drive it around. It just doesn't work otherwise. It looks very shiny, and he laughs at my "pile of junk", labeling the crazy fun I'm having with my car as Stockholm syndrome.

Eve is the former, other MMOs are the latter. If you are looking for the latter, kindly go play another game. I suggest Guild Wars 2. They constantly put out "big features" that give you new NPCs to punch, but do not advance player interaction at all (which remains quite stale). If you would like the former, I suggest grabbing a cheap ship, taking some risks, and leaving hisec.

Because Eve players tend to shoot innocent statues in Jita when CCP announces big new features Blink

The latest expansions where mostly about massive bugfixes and revisions of existing game features. And that was a good thing, eve is in a much better shape than some years ago and the to-do-list is still long (UI, Sov mechanics, Ship tiericide, Pos'es, etc.).

The next "Jesus-Feature" you're looking for will perhaps be the announced Stargate construction by players. But that will take a while

the statue shooting had little to do with the upgrade / new feature itself, more with the micro transaction plan that leaked....

it just happened at the same time, and thus the event was also used to make CCP aware that many players were not fan of the WIS.....but the main issue was the micro transaction thingy

also, reagarding OP, with the few they add / change, they already lanage to screw up unrelated things big time, and there are STILL many problems that are simply ignored by CCP, so before they add any candy looking things, i really hope they do take care of those issues FIRST

We're serious about the ridicule too. Changing out a sandbox's sand every year or dropping in big rocks isn't very conducive to letting the people playing in it building/blowing up sandcastles. It just gets in the way.

Removing turds and adding in little bits of sand now and then is fine though, and that's what CCP are already doing.

In other words and without hyperbole: you're not getting a debate about the lack of changes because the lack of frequent earthshaking changes is intentional and everyone posting here supports it.

The ship rebalances have been the biggest changes to EVE in a long time. The cruiser teircide provided a huge amount of content.

Adding Concord was a pretty big change.

As to whether it was a fun one or not is still up for debate.

You cannot be serious! I'm as bitter as they come and I safely say that Apocrypha was the last expansion to this game and a damn good one at that. How can you say it wasn't impressive? ~2500 new systems with mechanics completely unlike the rest of space, new ships more different that ever. + All the standard fixing + PVE rubbish.

More content than we've seen in the 4 years since. Granted a lot of re balancing was needed (and asked for), but I don't even want to think about how much devtime was sunk into Incarna and Dust.

OP will not be happy until CCP opens and entire new region of space populated by a new playable race: Space Pandas.

I posted some serious and some lesser serious suggestions in ideas and features forum earlier... one of the ideas is to have Security standings in system change.

Suddenly a highsec system is downgrade to low or nullsec... suddenly a nullsec system get upgraded to highsec. A fluxiating Galaxy. Changes happening randomly all over. That would be a fun change, suddnly u have ur carebearfleet stuck in a station in nullsec. That would create a flood of complains, but at the same time alot of fun too.

No you aren't. You did the equivalent of walking into a room and saying "What about ducks?" while providing no real framework for us to build a discussion around. Now you are in the tail end where people sit around wondering just what the hell you are going on about, because there have been a lot of changes that were fun for us.

Of course, but CCP won't be getting around to the Sloths until at least mid-2016, when they've released the first iteration of Pandas, and there's a new FOTM to put on the whiteboard.

We have this thing called the CSM, they are elected player representatives that have input on changes. Some people think they're useless but that's besides the point.

If you don't have the imagination to create your own content there are plenty of other games that will spoon feed it to you.

You're definitely playing the wrong game, most of us pay for Eve precisely because it's the opposite of what you want it to be.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
