POS blocks, highsec factory slots

Just an observation, but the introduction of POS fuel blocks seems like it will put pressure on highsec manufacturing facilities as everyone races to keep a steady supply of fuel on hand to ship to low/nullsec. Open slots near hubs are going to be far busier with this change.

I don't think there's going to be that big a lasting impact. It'll be busy for a week or two, while people catch up with demand, but then it'll likely fall off as the market becomes saturated.

Seeing how POS tower is consuming fuel as if it was maxing out CPU and Power, Component or Ammo Assembly Array won't take up much of both, might as well put one on the tower.

This. With a base build time of 5 minutes for an hour of fuel for a large tower, an unresearched bpo can produce fuel for 12 large towers a month. Throw in some research, and it'll go to above 16. and that's a single run. And then there's the 0.75 time modifier. so 20 or so. With one bpo. and as the AAA has multiple lines, it's less than a day to get it all done for a single tower.

Only an idiot would ship everything to high-sec, manufacture, then ship it back to low-null.

5 minutes - assuming PE zero and a hi-sec slot. Batch size is 40, a large tower consumes 40/hr. So you need 1 hour of manufacturing time for every 12 hours of fuel time.

PE 8 drops that to 4m 6s - 1 hour of manuf time makes 14.6 hours of large tower fuel.

Put it in a component array, time drops by a factor of 0.75 - 184.5s per batch at PE 8. Which is a 19.5:1 ratio.

So if you need 30.5 days of fuel, you'll spend 1.56 days in a Component/Ammo array to manufacture it.

Don't forget the 20% reduction in build time from Industry V, as well as the (optional) 'Beancounter' F60 implant which offers an additional 4% build time reduction.

i don't think it will be a issue , just have a look at the the systems on the fringes of high sec, you find dozen of stations with empty manufacturing slots in just one or 2 constellations
Many will also buy the ammothingy for a pos it is cheap and has low cpu/grids stats

I do not agree with what you are saying , but i will defend to the death your right to say it...... Voltaire
